Oerlikon Contraves Deutschland becomes Rheinmetall Soldier Electronics

Trading under the new name Rheinmetall Soldier Electronics GmbH, the former Oerlikon Contraves Deutschland GmbH of Stockach, Germany, supports the world's armed forces with
an extensive array of high-tech products and services. The name change came into effect on
1 September 2009.

The Rheinmetall Soldier Electronics GmbH is a member of Rheinmetall Defence and an independent subsidiary of Rheinmetall AG in Düsseldorf, Germany. Rheinmetall Soldier Electronics is located in Stockach near Lake of Constance and employs around 100 people.

Activities: Development, documentation, production, integration and logistic support mainly in the military field for low-level air defence, artillery fire-control, Laser target identification system, Laser target marker and Laser light modules as well as sensor systems for test ranges of the German Army. The spectrum reaches from development of sub-solutions through modernisation of equipment to complete system solutions.

Rheinmetall Soldier Electronics production activity is governed throughout by a quality management system corresponding to DIN EN ISO 9001 and AQAP 110. Thus OCD guarantees highest quality in all process steps.
